Geography can bridge divides.
My accomplishments as a geographer and GIS professional can best be summarized as seeking to bridge divides: the divide between a question and an answer; between resource use and resource conservation; between development and sustainability. I love learning from others and seeing the world from different perspectives. My approach to teaching and consulting begins with getting to know individuals and the knowledge they bring to an issue. Maps and spatial information are an effective medium of information exchange, and they work best when an expert helps interpret, analyze, and present the data. With my skills and experience, I want to support others as they use GIS to learn, collaborate, and visualize new possibilities.
